Planning Manager Job Description:

The Planning Manager leads the scheduling/planning process of Projects, Design, and Production to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize operational efficiency.

This role will have direct responsibility to improve company delivery performance through scheduling efficiency and continuous improvement.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and manage an integrated master schedule for all projects and operations.
Work with Project Managers and Coordinators to maintain their individual project schedules.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Department leads, and upper management to understand Project requirements, Objectives, and Milestones.
Identify and Assess risks, issues and conflicts that may impact schedule, and develop mitigation plans.
Regularly update and maintain the master schedule by incorporating changes, updates and adjustments as necessary.
Work with Project Managers to monitor Project progress and identify any deviations from the schedule, taking proactive measures to address delays or other issues.
Conduct regular meetings and discussions with project teams to review and analyze project status, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions.
Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Train and mentor Department Leads on best practices for scheduling management and adherence.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure alignment between the schedule and resource allocation.
Provide accurate monthly outlook reports to upper management.
Work with upper management on resource loads reporting.
Provide weekly and monthly schedules for each department.
Hold each department lead accountable for meeting deadlines.
Manage employee time tracking and labor budget reports.
Help establish daily and weekly scheduling systems for each department.
