Position Overview:

LifeFormations is a creative fabrication and animatronics studio delivering custom-built experiences for clients around the world. Our work appears in leading theme parks, museums, and immersive environments, where every project is unique.

We are seeking a Costuming Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working beyond traditional garment design, creating custom costumes for non-standard, sculpted, and animatronic figures.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate custom costume pieces, including mockups, final garments, and alterations.
Create and modify patterns for non-traditional forms.
Partner with the Costume Director to achieve fit, function, and creative intent.
Support digital patterning and print development (CLO, Adobe).
Collaborate with production teams to meet project timelines.

Qualifications:

Degree in Fashion, Costume, or Apparel Design, or equivalent experience.
Experience with CLO and Adobe (preferred).
Strong skills in draping, pattern drafting, and garment construction.
Proficient in sewing (machine and hand).
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have:

Experience with fur work, hair punching, or specialty surface treatments.
Background in theatrical, creature, or character-based costuming.
Experience working on non-traditional forms.
